Juventus need more victory to restore confidence to the team. From seven games last ‘Old Lady’ new sipping two victories, the rest is lost.

Juve won final victory went to the cage when Parma two days ago. In the early weeks of 2010 Series A are, Juve managed to bring home three points after a 2-1 win.

This weekend, Juventus will entertain heavy opponent, Milan. The visitors recorded a track record better. City club this mode to record four victories, two series and only one defeat in his last seven games.

Juve midfielder, Diego confessed satisfied with his team’s performance against Parma at the time this weekend. However, against Milan will be far more difficult and would like the final fight for Juve.

“Now we face Milan and it would be like the final fight for us. If we win, we will return to the order of two.”

Victory over Milan Juventus must accomplish if they want to cut the distance with Inter Milan and returned to the track struggles scudetto.

The race to the scudetto is on in Italy at the halfway point of the Serie A season.

Inter Milan, which threatened to run away with the title in its first season under Coach José Mourinho, allowed midtable Atalanta of Bergamo three goals in the first 33 minutes Sunday and lost only its second league match of the season, 3-1. Then, under the lights at Rome’s Olympic Stadium, Juventus got an unlikely goal from Olof Mellberg to tie Lazio and move 3 points behind front-running Inter.

If both teams stay on course, it would set up a pivotal match in Turin on April 19. But with Juventus within striking distance of Inter, the question now is whether Juventus Manager Claudio Ranieri will pull the trigger on a big-name transfer to strengthen the midfield with a player like the Brazilian Diego, who plays for Werder Bremen of the Bundesliga.

Injuries to Patrick Vieira and Marco Materazzi seemed to hamstring first-place Inter, which had not lost in Serie A since Sept. 28, when it fell to A.C. Milan, 1-0. After Sergio Floccari rocketed Atalanta into the lead in the 13th minute, Cristiano Doni, who turns 36 on April 1, stunned Inter with goals in the 28th and 33rd minutes.

“I can’t explain it,” Mourinho told Sky TV after the game. “I should keep quiet and let the sports press use any adjective they want, which I must accept given my team played such an awful match.”

In Rome, Juventus was fully aware before the late match that it could pull a point behind Inter with a win over seventh-place Lazio. But opportunity and outcome did not match for the Bianconeri (who were clad in their alternate dark blue jerseys against Lazio’s traditional sky-blue shirts).

Juve has been on a roll of late. Since a four-game winless streak in Serie A that carried into mid-October, Juventus has lost only once (to Inter, 1-0, on Nov. 22) in 12 league matches.

Juve was stunned midway through the first half Sunday when Cristian Ledesma’s free kick from the left flank was misjudged by the Austrian goalkeeper Alex Manninger and drifted into the top corner. Manninger had been a welcome surprise in goal for Juve, playing for the injured Gianluigi Buffon. Buffon was expected to play against Lazio, but missed the match because of an illness.

Some of the latest to return are goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon and midfielder Cristiano Zanetti, and Bianconeri fans will be happy to know they will soon be joined by David Trezeguet and Tiago.

Tiago has been given the all-clear by Juventus doctors and is now just concentrating on regaining his match-fitness before he can be at the full disposal of coach Claudio Ranieri.

Meanwhile, Trezeguet has completed his rehabilitation on the injury that kept him out for four months and will gradually increase his amount of training with his teammates.

If all goes according to plan, both players should see some time on the pitch by the end of January.
